Continuous Improvement Engineer (NPI)

£25,000 to £35,000 DOE + Career Progression + Flexible Working Hours + Life Assurance + 25 Days Holiday plus Bank Holidays

Excellent opportunity for an individual with experience in process/continuous improvement to join a well-established, local company where you will have the chance to develop your career and work within a specialist team.

This company have been established for over 40 years, specialising within metal casting. Due to growth, they are currently looking for an Process or NPI Engineer to work within their Quality Engineering team.

This role plays an integral part towards being customer service and quality focused, with the goal of creating long-term partnerships with OEM customers. Being transparent and communicative with customers to ensure expectations are met.

The ideal individual will be an experienced new product introduction/continuous improvement/lean manufacturing within a foundry environment looking to join a well-established, family feel company.

The Role:

  • Identify and support of new tools required for new projects/production, liase with customers and stakeholders on a weekly basis, coordinate action plans, cost control, scrap & rework,
  • 40hrs a week, 7am to 4pm however flexibility given
  • Holidays 25 plus BH, Life Assurance - 1 x salary upon hire and then 2 x after 12 months pension standard contribution after 3 months probation.

The Person:

  • New Product Introduction processes - PPAP, AQPQP, DFMEA, PFMEA, control plans, auditing
  • Experience in foundry/metal casting/sand casting essential
  • Good IT skills (Excel & Word)
  • Looking for a long term career opportunity.
