Long Island

The company are a leading contractor in Long Island, & they have grown a lot over the last few years & with their loyal client base, this will ensure further development on larger & higher end projects. Their goal is to expand their services to cover further regions within their market, whilst maintaining the highest quality of service. You will have the opportunity to receive some technical training, along with the opportunity to grow, as the company grows. As a Payroll Manager, you will play an important part in company growth & success.

In this role you will be working with a future driven team & your responsibilities will be to run the payroll responsibilities for the company. Set up new employees on the payroll, pay employees, deductions & fringes as required. Calculate & reconcile weekly 401K employee deductions & process payments accordingly, along with the ability to maintain all employee electronic files - This will be both for Union employees & direct employees.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Payroll Manager within the within the construction sector, looking for a company that is team focussed & a great place to work, while offering excellent stability & potential growth. They have exciting plans with an excellent pipeline across the next few years giving the right person a fantastic opportunity to play a big part in company success.

Role:

* Prepare new employee offer letters & other Payroll / HR related functions
* Communicate directly with field foreman/superintendent & the director of field operations regularly
* Maintain companywide employee PTO balances
* Opportunity to receive technical training

The Person:

* Local to Long Island
* Experienced with construction related payroll tasks
* Excellent computer & communication skills as well as a positive attitude
* Willingness to be proactive & problem solve
