Principal EIA Consultant - Solar PV & Wind


North Wales / Cheshire - Hybrid Working Options


£45,000 to £50,000 (D.O.E) + Discretionary Bonus + Annual Training Budget + Healthcare and Life Assurance (after 1 year) + other Company Benefits + 25 days annual leave (+BH) + Pension

This reputable company are an experienced team of industry experts passionate about sustainability and protecting the world that we live in. They have thrived in recent years and are now looking for a Principal Consultant to join their team to facilitate future success.


In this role, you will be a go-to technical expert and will be responsible for leading EIA activities for Solar and Wind developments, managing projects to ensure timely delivery, whilst mentoring and developing a team.


This role would suit someone with relevant background in EIA and environmental consultancy, looking to stamp their mark within a well-established organisation working on cutting edge renewable infrastructure.


The Role:

  • Manage complex projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery and high-quality work from subcontractors.
  • Act as a company expert, producing and reviewing technical studies and reports for accuracy.
  • Significant contribution to new business generation and managing client relationships to foster repeat business.
  • Lead and mentor staff, potentially managing up to five team members and sharing knowledge company-wide.
  • Manage risks and liabilities, ensuring health and safety compliance, and adhering to company quality and budgetary standards.


The Person:

  • Must have relevant experience in an Environmental consultancy with good knowledge of EIA
  • Degree qualified in a relevant science discipline - if you are a Chartered Environmentalist this would be a distinct advantage
  • Proven ability to plan and deliver works in line with budgets and programme deadlines
