Production & Process Engineer (Rail/Rolling Stock)
Up to £55,000 DOE + Training + Progression + 33 Days Holiday + Flexible Working + Company Benefits
Derby, Derbyshire (Commutable from: Nottingham, Loughborough, Burton-on-Trent, Alfreton, Ashbourne, and Belper)
Are you a Mechanical Engineer, ideally from a Rail background, looking to join a leading company offering a varied role where you can progress your skills?
This company are leaders within their industry, working with large blue-chip clients across the UK. They are looking to push forward with their growth plans, making it an excellent time to join the business. Reporting directly to the Head of Engineering, this standalone role will support and work directly alongside the mechanical team as well as production, procurement and QHSE.
This role would suit an individual with a strong background in continuous improvement/process control, who is mechanically minded, ideally from the rail industry, looking to work on specialist projects and develop their career.
The Role:
- Collaborate with design, operations, and procurement to ensure smooth production flow, create and manage accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) in Sage ERP for all projects, drive continuous improvement, help manage project budgets and production schedules
- Site based, flexibility is required to visit other sites dependant on business/project's needs (all expenses will be covered/have use of a pull car)
- £45,000 to £55,000 dependant on experience
The Person:
- Background in production/process/continuous improvement roles, ideally in rail or heavy engineering (e.g plant/automotive)
- Mechanically minded
- Project management experience
- Able to work independently and take initiative
- Degree in an engineering subject - preferred but not essential
- Driving license
