Production Engineer (CNC Machinery)

£30,000 - £35,000 + Excellent Pension + Life Assurance + Childcare Vouchers + Parking + 25 Days Holiday

Newark, Nottinghamshire (Commutable from: Nottingham, Grantham, Mansfield, and Lincoln)

37 Hours/Week, 8:30am-4:30pm (4pm Friday), some flexibility available

Are you from a Machine Shop / CNC background, looking for the chance to join a global market leading business in a newly created role?

On offer is a days based role, with on-going technical progression and training, where you will be working within a growing department on a number of exciting new production initiatives.

This company is the leader in the supply of precision and mechatronic products, primarily for the automotive industry.

The roles' purpose is to provide engineering support, primarily to their Linear department, within the manufacturing plant by identifying and implementing improvements to enable production targets to be met.

The Role:

  • Full time, permanent role with a large global manufacturer
  • Providing engineering support to Linear machining, grinding and assembly
  • Support the specification, sourcing and ordering of individual machines and equipment
  • Identify and implement process improvements
  • Further training provided


The Person:

  • Mechanical or electrical engineering qualification (Degree, HND, City and Guilds or apprentice trained)
  • Working experience in the manufacturing industry
  • Experience working in a machine shop/CNC environment or in a hands on CNC role
  • Experience of a project based role is ideal
