Can be based in Telford, Shrewsbury, Wolverhampton, Kidderminster, Ludlow or similar areas

Remote Working Available with Site Visits Required

£55,000 - £65,000 + Vehicle Allowance + 25 Days Holidays + Benefits

This well-established company, backed by an international leader of environmental solutions, are specialists in the construction of solar farms across the UK. They pride themselves on providing a full turn-key solution for project construction, managing works across the entire build as a sole contractor. After seeing great success and significant financial growth in recent years, they have ambitious plans to expand their portfolio further and develop their passionate in-house team.

In this role, you will manage the contract and finances for solar farm construction projects. You will issue early warning notices for potential problems, prepare and submit variation orders for any changes in the work, and create monthly applications for payment to ensure the company gets paid for work completed. You will also work closely with the project planner to link financial impacts to the project schedule.

This role would suit an experienced Quantity Surveyor eager to progress into Commercial Management and advance into the renewable energy sector. You should be hold relevant qualifications (ideally RICS) and be flexible to travel nationwide when required.

The Role:

  • Manage the overall budget and financial viability of the project
  • Control costs and handle all financial reporting
  • Assess and price any changes to the original scope of work
  • Prepare and submit monthly payment applications to clients
  • Manage contracts and payments for subcontractors
  • Frequent site visits UK wide


The Person:

  • Experienced Quantity Surveyor
  • RICS or equivalent
  • Knowledge of large scale construction contracts (NEC, FIDIC etc)
  • Full UK driving license
  • Flexible to travel and stay away when required
