Shift Manager
Commutable from Burton on Trent, Litchfield, Coalville, Hatton, Derby, Willington, Ashby de-la-Zouch and Tamworth
£40,000-£49,000 + Mon-Fri (5am-3pm) + Career Progression + Training

The business is seeking a forward-thinking leader with a strong background in food or meat processing, who can oversee daily operations, drive performance, and ensure compliance with food safety standards while supporting the wider business strategy.
In this role, you'll lead the AM shift, managing supervisors and operators while ensuring production plans are met across quality, efficiency, and output. You'll also oversee goods-in, daily dispatch, and stock take activities.
Reporting directly to the Production Manager, you'll gain senior-level exposure and the opportunity to step up when required, giving you a clear pathway for career progression.
This role is ideal for someone who is ambitious, hands-on, and driven, who is excited by both the challenge of leading people and the opportunity to advance their career in a fast-paced food production environment.
The Role:
- Lead daily AM shift operations (Mon-Fri, 5am-3pm)
- Manage and support supervisors, team leaders, and operators
- Oversee goods-in, daily dispatch, and stock take accountability
The Candidate:
- Strong knowledge of food hygiene, HACCP, and food safety compliance
- Experienced in goods-in, dispatch, and stock management
- Strong people management and coaching skills
