Assistant Quantity Surveyor
Chelmsford (Office Based - Hybrid After Probation)
£35,000 - £42,000 + Quarterly Profit Share Bonus + Excellent Training + Clear Progression

In this role, you will work closely with Senior Quantity Surveyors on residential remediation and façade projects, supporting procurement, cost control, valuations, and materials management. Initially, you will focus heavily on procurement and commercial support, with increasing responsibility as you develop. Full training, mentoring, and a proven development framework are in place, including support towards RICS for those who want it.
With that, the ideal candidate will have some exposure to quantity surveying or estimating within construction, along with strong organisational and numerical skills. Making this a great opportunity for someone keen to learn and progress.

The Role:
- Supporting Senior QSs across residential remediation and façade projects
- Procurement of materials, tendering, and supplier negotiations
- Assisting with valuations, variations, and cost reporting
- Materials management and budget tracking using Excel
- Supporting monthly applications and commercial processes
- Office-based in Chelmsford with site visits and hybrid working after probation
The Person:
- Some QS, estimating, or commercial experience within construction
- Strong organisational, numerical, and communication skills
- Professional, reliable, and a team player
- Eager to learn and progress long-term
- Commutable distance from Chelmsford
