An Exciting opportunity for a Bookkeeper with previous accounts experience to join an Small Residential developer who pride themselves on building quality homes and developments.

Are you a Bookkeeper looking for your next challenge? Are you looking to work for a well-established company who have a reputation for building quality and bespoke houses and developments?

This reputable housebuilder specialises in new build developments. Their current developments sizes range from 4 to 50 across 7 developments. They pride themselves on their builds and ensure that each developments layout and design is unique to the local character of each location. They are currently going through a growth period and intend to increase their number of units to 100 per year. They have a pipeline of another 12 developments coming up to help them complete this.

The ideal candidate will have experience in Bookkeeping or accounts administration and have knowledge or previous experience with Xero or Dext.

Reporting to the Director your duties will include but not be subject to providing support to the accountant by taking day-to-day responsibility for the purchase ledger - the accurate and timely posting of purchase invoices, account reconciliations and supplier payments. Other tasks would include the initial preparation of the monthly VAT return and contractor CIS statements.

The Role:

  • Assisting the accountant
  • Managing purchase invoices and supplier payments
  • Preparation on monthly VAT return

The Person:

  • Previous bookkeeping experience
  • Knowledge of Xero or Dext
  • Competent on IT systems
