As an Instructor, you'll move away from the pressures of site work and into a role where your experience is valued differently. You'll design and deliver training across LV and 11kV cable jointing, support technical qualifications in power engineering, and assess learners against national standards. This is a position where you'll play a key role in developing others, while continuing to build your own career within training and education.
This role would suit someone with a background in electricity distribution, cable jointing or wider power engineering who is ready for the next step. Whether you've been on the tools for several years or are starting to think about a more sustainable long-term career, full training and support will be provided to help you transition into the role.

The Role:
*Deliver training in LV and 11kV cable jointing
*Support delivery of technical certificates in power engineering
*Assess learners against national qualification standards (NVQ / Diploma / EPA)
*Design and develop high-quality training materials
*Deliver compliance and safety training related to distribution activities
*Support learners through their full training and assessment journey
*Maintain training equipment and ensure high standards are met
The Person:
*Background in electricity distribution, transmission, or cable jointing
*LV jointing experience (authorised or previously authorised)
*Experience across LV/HV systems or wider power engineering environment
*Strong practical knowledge with the ability to communicate and support others
*Interested in moving into a training/instructor role
*Motivated to build a long-term career off the tools
