Construction Assurance Manager
Aylesbury (commutable from Milton Keynes, High Wycombe, Oxford, Leighton Buzzard)
£45,000 to £66,000 (DOE) plus benefits - 33 days holiday + up to 12% employer contribution + progression

Are you a site-based Engineer or Construction Manager looking for a hands on role where you can influence safety, quality and delivery on one of the UK's most significant infrastructure programmes?
This is an opportunity to join a nationally important project at a key stage of construction, working directly on site in a practical, delivery focused position. You will play a central role in assuring that construction activities are being carried out safely, in line with approved methodologies and to the required technical standards.

It is recognised for its strong governance, focus on safety and commitment to developing technical and construction professionals through major project experience.
In this role you will review construction methodologies, inspect site activities and ensure contractors are delivering in line with their Work Package Plans and design documentation. You will work closely with site teams to identify risks, challenge unsafe or non compliant practices and provide technical assurance across heavy civil and earthworks activities.
This position would suit someone from a heavy civils, rail or earthworks background who enjoys being on site, and taking ownership of safety and technical compliance.
The Role:
* Provide on site construction assurance across heavy civils and infrastructure works
* Review and assess construction methodology, work package plans and inspection and test plans
* Ensure contractors are delivering works in line with approved documentation and drawings
* Identify technical and safety risks and support proportionate, risk based decision making
* Communicate technical and safety requirements clearly to site teams and contractors
The Person:
* Background in construction engineering or site management within heavy civils, rail or earthworks
* Strong understanding of CDM regulations and site safety management
* CSCS and SMSTS qualified
* Able to interpret construction documentation including WPPs, ITPs and drawings
* Confident decision maker with a commitment to standards, safety and technical assurance
