Consultant Ecologist
Glasgow - Hybrid/Flexible Working

This consultancy provide solutions to both public and private sector clients providing support in their specialist sectors such as Energy Development & Supply, Environmental Protection & Regulatory Compliance and Ecology
In this role you will be involved in a varied workload that will see you doing things such as planning field survey logistics, implementation of survey methods, phase 1 Habitat and protected species surveys, writing risk assessments and producing high quality survey reports.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in the industry or ideally in a consultancy environment and be confident in Phase 1 Habitats, field surveying a range of British wildlife and have a current CSCS card or equivalent. It would be advantageous if the candidate was a qualifying or an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management.

The role:
* Planning and undertaking targeted habitat and species surveys.
* Liaising with ecological regulators and planning authorities
* Undertaking design of ecological mitigation and advising on its delivery
* Delivering technical work within your specialisms, on complex or challenging projects.
The Person:
* Previous experience working in a Ecology role or similar
* Strong technical report writing skills and a track record of effect project management
* CSCS card or equivalent
