Data Engineer (AIS)
Houston - Texas (Hybrid)
$90,000 - $110,000 + 401k + PTO + Healthcare + Dental + Equity + Bonuses
Are you a Data Engineer with experience with automatic identification systems (AIS) looking to work for an exciting start-up company who offer excellent hands on training and structured progression?

My client are an exciting data intelligence start-up leveraging AI satellites to monitor, analyse and deliver intelligence data to customers in asset management, renewable energy, defense and military sectors.
In this position you will work closely with data scientists and analysts to provide insights from AIS data. From this you will support predictive modelling and analytical reporting on maritime traffic, port activities and vessel behaviours. You will also build high-performance algorithms, prototypes, predictive models and proof on concepts.

The Person:
*Experience with Python, SQL, Kafka, Flake or Hadoop
*Experience with Google Cloud Platform
*Experience with Tableau and Power BI
*US citizen
The role:
*Process and analyze AIS data
*Design, construct, install and test data management systems.
*Develop algorithms to filter, aggregate, and cross-reference large datasets
