ERP Development Manager (IBM i / AS400)
United States - Remote
$140,000 - $160,000 + Healthcare Insurances + 401(k) + PTO + Employee Stock Options
Are you an experienced ERP development leader with strong IBM i / AS400 expertise looking for an opportunity where you can take ownership of a business-critical ERP platform while improving development processes and team performance?
This is an opportunity to join a well-established U.S. organization operating at national scale that is investing heavily in strengthening its internal technology platforms. The business relies on a highly customized ERP environment that sits at the center of operations, and they are looking for a hands-on technical leader to drive improvements across development standards, governance, and system performance.
You will lead a team of developers responsible for maintaining and evolving a complex ERP system while implementing best practices across coding standards, QA processes, and change management. Working closely with senior leadership and business stakeholders, you will play a key role in shaping how ERP development is delivered across the organization.
This role would suit a technically strong development manager who enjoys mentoring engineers, improving processes, and taking ownership of critical business systems while remaining hands-on technically.
The Role:
*Lead and manage a team of ERP developers and QA staff supporting a customized ERP platform
*Oversee development standards, code reviews, and production change management processes
*Drive improvements across QA, documentation, and development workflows
*Manage priorities, resources, and delivery timelines for ERP development projects
*Act as the technical bridge between business stakeholders and development teams
The Person:
*Strong background working in IBM i / AS400 development environments
*Hands-on experience with RPG IV / ILE RPG and DB2 for i
*Experience leading or mentoring development teams
*Background working within complex ERP environments
*Understanding of SDLC processes, change management, and production release controls
