£26,717 - £30,378 + Overtime + £2,536 Call Out + Amazing Pension + 42 Days Holiday + Training + Progression + Great Work-Life Balance

Are you a hands-on, multi-skilled tradesperson looking for a more structured, less pressured working environment where you can enjoy a better work-life balance without losing the hands-on nature of your role?

Do you want to work Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm, in a role where no two days are the same, but the pressure, stress and unrealistic demands of commercial work are left behind?

This is a rare opportunity to join a leading education establishment with a large, varied and unique estate, offering a completely different working environment to traditional maintenance roles. From academic buildings to specialist facilities, outdoor spaces and commercial areas, the work is incredibly diverse - giving you variety without the chaos often found in reactive maintenance roles.

The organisation has built a strong reputation for creating a supportive, well-structured environment where engineers are given the time, tools and backing to do their job properly. With strong internal systems, clear communication and a collaborative team culture, this is a far more organised and less pressured setting than most maintenance roles in the private sector.

You will be working across a wide estate carrying out a variety of maintenance tasks, from basic plumbing and carpentry through to minor building repairs, roofing work and general upkeep of facilities. The role is truly multi-skilled, ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on and solving a range of practical problems day-to-day.

This role would suit a practical, all-round tradesperson - a true "jack-of-all-trades" - who is looking for a more balanced and secure position, with the opportunity to develop further skills over time. There is genuine opportunity to upskill into specialist areas and progress within the wider estates team.

In return, you will benefit from a days-based role working 8:00am-4:00pm Monday to Friday, alongside an outstanding package that includes 42 days holiday, an excellent pension, overtime, call-out payments, funded training and clear progression opportunities. The wider team culture is collaborative and supportive, making this an ideal long-term career move.

The Role:

*Days-based role working 8:00am-4:00pm, Monday to Friday
*Carrying out general maintenance across a large and varied estate
*Basic plumbing repairs (taps, toilets, pipework)
*Carpentry tasks including doors, fittings and minor repairs

*Working across multiple sites and facilities
*Using CAFM systems to record work and manage tasks
*Liaising with contractors and internal stakeholders
*Supporting apprentices and wider team when required
*Taking part in the call-out rota with additional earnings

The Person:

*Multi-skilled maintenance background (building / facilities / trades)
*Hands-on, practical and able to turn your hand to a variety of tasks
*Experience across general maintenance, plumbing or carpentry
*Strong understanding of safe working practices
*Able to work independently and manage workload
*Full UK driving licence
