Field Service Engineer - Industrial Machinery (Car Wash Systems)
Paris Region, France - (Within 45km of Nanterre)

Are you looking for a hands-on Field Service role working with industrial machinery?
Do you have a mechanical or electrical background and enjoy fault-finding and problem-solving on-site?
I am currently representing a globally recognised Automated Car Wash Manufacturer, established for over 50 years, operating hundreds of sites across Europe. They are now looking to recruit a Field Service Engineer to support their sites across France, mainly in the Paris region due to continued demand and difficulty finding the right long-term fit.
In this role, you will be carrying out reactive service work and planned maintenance on industrial car wash machinery. You will receive extensive training, including a structured 2-week course followed by 10-14 weeks of shadowing experienced engineers. The company are known for not rushing training or responsibility, instead focusing on long-term development, including future exposure to PLCs and more complex systems.
The successful candidate will be mechanically and electrically minded, comfortable working independently, and happy travelling regionally. Formal qualifications are not essential - experience and attitude are far more important.
The Role:
- Reactive servicing and repair of industrial car wash machinery
- Planned preventative maintenance where possible
- Mechanical and electrical fault-finding (pumps, bearings, motors, control panels)
- On-site repairs using power tools, welding, and general fabrication
- Working independently across customer sites in the Paris region
The Candidate:
- Basic Mechanical and Electrical background
- Experience with industrial machinery
- Comfortable using power tools, grinders, and welding
- Experience with 400V / 3-phase control panels
- French speaking
- Located within 45km of Nanterre
