£50,000 - £55,000 + Training + Development + Excellent Holidays + Pension
On offer is the opportunity to join an industry leading company in a pivotal role providing guidance for technical staff with a variation of customers and a challenging work environment.
This specialist company operates in a niche market supplying specialist components to the industries including, but not limited to automotive and aerospace. Operating internationally they are continuing to grow having built an established reputation over a number of decades.
In this role, the general manager will lead and manage the variety of departments across the business to ensure the safe and efficient production operations continue to the highest standards. They will be responsible for ensuring cross department collaboration and effectively delegating tasks to meet specific budget requirements.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience in the management of department leaders across an engineering business being able to demonstrate lean manufacturing techniques and practices. They will have the ability to engage with engineering teams and customers in a dynamic environment where the development of product requirements is changing consistently.

The role:
*Managing department leaders from a technical and cultural aspect.
*Ensuring safe operations and practices are maintained at all times.
*Implementing and maintaining cost and control programmes to ensure budget requirements are met.
The person:
*Experience leading in an engineering based business.
*Understanding of lean manufacturing techniques.
*Ability to engage with customers to build relationships.
