Graduate Electrical Engineer - Power Distribution
Canton, Ohio
$25-30 Per Hour DOE + Overtime Opportunities (Time and a Half) + Medical + Dental + Vision + 401k + Travel Expenses Covered
Excellent opportunity for an Electrical Engineering graduate with knowledge of Power Distribution systems to join an established manufacturer that can provide the opportunity gain experience across all stages of project lifecycle and exposure to projects in a variety of industries.
This historical manufacturer of Power Distribution equipment supplies to major public and private sector clients across the USA including those in the Power Generation, Mass-Transit, Chemicals, Healthcare and Education sectors. Their experience covers everything from equipment design and manufacture to installation, commissioning and maintenance.
We are hiring for both site and field-based engineers who will be involved in the fault finding, troubleshooting, service, maintenance, repair and installation of LV and MV power distribution equipment such as transformers, switchgear and circuit breakers.
The site-based role will be suited to those prioritising work-life balance, while the field-based role will provide the opportunity to increase your earnings substantially through overtime at time and a half.
The ideal candidate will be educated to Degree level in Electrical Engineering and will have gained some prior experience with Power Distribution systems such as through a placement or an internship.
This is the perfect opportunity for someone to rapidly develop their career in the Power Distribution industry by gaining hands-on experience across all stages of project lifecycle and covering a variety of industries, while also having the chance to move laterally within the business to gain experience with other teams involved in things such as Manufacturing, Project Management and Design.
The role:
* Either working in the company's main facility or travelling to sites across Eastern and Northeastern USA (stay-aways expensed by the company)
* Working on a variety of LV & MV Power Distribution equipment e.g Switchgear, Circuit Breakers etc.
* Installing, fault-finding, testing, troubleshooting, servicing and maintaining equipment
* Carrying out electrical safety tests e.g HiPot
The Person:
* B.S in Electrical Engineering
* Working knowledge of power distribution equipment, preferably with hands-on experience
* For field-based roles, candidates will need to be comfortable with travel & staying away overnight
* Clean driving license
