IT Infrastructure & Security Manager

£45,000 - £50,000 + Bonus + Extensive Benefits
This is an excellent opportunity for a Technical Lead/Infrastructure Manager to further develop their skills, or a senior engineer with exposure to leading a team, ready to step into a management role. You will bridge the gap between high-level security strategy and hands-on infrastructure maintenance.
This company is a leading provider of essential products for businesses across various sectors. They specialise in delivering a comprehensive range of high-quality janitorial, catering, and packaging supplies, helping organisations maintain efficiency and hygiene in their operations.
In this varied role, you will manage the full lifecycle of IT operations, from configuring Cisco firewalls, VMware clusters, managing the network servers, and leading audits for ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials. You will also provide guidance to the wider team and mentor junior engineers.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience within a similar role and possess deep expertise in the Microsoft ecosystem, specifically Azure, Intune, and Entra ID, alongside strong networking skills involving Cisco WAN/LAN and VPNs. You should be proficient in managing VMware/vSphere, Datto backups, Nimble SAN storage, and security tools like Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, and Qualys.

The Role:
- Resolve complex Tier 3 issues and major outages.
- Maintain ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus.
- Manage Windows Server, VMware, and Azure Virtual Desktop.
- Manage, train, and conduct appraisals for direct reports.
The Person:
- Skilled in M365, SharePoint, and PowerShell.
- Expert in Cisco Firewalls, VLANs, and Umbrella.
- Experienced in vulnerability patching and SSO.
- Proficient in Nimble SAN and NAS maintenance.
