Junior DevOps Engineer
Douglas, Isle of Man - remote with relocation to the Isle of Man
£30,000 to £40,000 + relocation assistance and great benefits
Excellent opportunity for a Junior DevOps Engineer to join a smaller, growing company in a highly varied and interesting role where they will support your development and help you technically progress.
This company have only been established for two years but are going from strength to strength. Through growth, they are looking to add a DevOps Engineer to their tightknit team. This is a remote role; however, they are ideally looking for candidates who would be happy to move to the Isle of Man in 2025 once they have started in the role. Living on the Isle of Man has a lot of benefits, including income taxes only ranging from 10% to 22%!
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a DevOps Engineer role, or be a recent graduate in Cyber Security, Computer Science or similar with some form of commercial experience. If you are happy to relocate to the Isle of Man, it is also highly desirable!

The role:
*Monitor and manage the official communication channels for each client regarding incidents and updates
*Quickly comprehend deployment processes from client-provided documentation
*Collaborate with development teams to streamline and optimise the deployment and operations workflow
*Review existing infrastructure and recommend improvements for performance and reliability
*Participate in incident management and troubleshooting processes, ensuring timely communication with clients
*Contribute to knowledge sharing and best practices within the team.
*Remote role, with a view of moving to the Isle of Man
The person:
*Degree qualified in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security or similar
*Previous experience in DevOps or a related role
*Experience with Docker, Docker Compose, Kubernetes
*Proficiency in Ubuntu, including drives, network and firewall configuration
*Experience managing bare metal and virtual machines beneficial
*Happy to relocate to the Isle of Man in the future
