Junior Estimator

$65,000 - $85,000 + Excellent Benefits + Annual Incentive
Excellent opportunity for an Estimator looking to join a fantastic company, working on technically interesting projects where you will have a clear path of progression towards Senior Estimator or Project Management.

An established fabrication business in the HVAC and construction sector is expanding its pre-construction team and is looking for a Junior Estimator to take on a key position. They support major commercial builds across education, healthcare, hospitality, residential developments and public venues, and they've built a reputation for reliability and quality over several decades.
The opening comes from a retirement, and it's created a genuine succession opportunity for someone who wants long term career growth.
What you'll be doing;
You'll manage estimates across a mix of small works and large multi-million dollar projects, including:
* Reviewing blueprints, drawings, and technical documents
* Interpreting plans, specs and project requirements
* Preparing accurate cost estimates for labor, materials and fabrication
* Working with suppliers to secure competitive pricing
* Producing clear proposals and bid packages
* Identifying cost efficiencies and value engineering options
* Partnering with project managers to ensure alignment
* Keeping accurate, organized documentation and records
What they're looking for:
* Experience as an Estimator in construction, HVAC, sheet metal or ductwork
* Confident in reading blueprints and technical drawings
* Strong analytical and problem solving capability
* Good communication skills
* Familiarity with estimating software
* Fully office based in Chesapeake, VA
