In this role, you will deliver and assess Level 1 Certificates and Level 2 Diplomas in Network Construction Operations (Gas and Water). You'll work with learners across commercial and apprenticeship programmes, using your real-world experience to develop competence, safe working practices and confidence, while assessing fairly and consistently against awarding organisation standards. You'll also support candidates with constructive feedback and guidance throughout their training journey.

The ideal candidate will have experience as a mains layer or service layer, be competent in multi-lay gas and water operations, and have excavation experience. A strong gas background is essential for consideration. You don't need previous training experience - full training, support and relevant teaching and assessing qualifications will be provided for those looking to transition into a trainer role.

The role
*Monday to Friday, 7:30am / 8:00am starts
*8-hour working day with 30 minutes unpaid lunch
*Trainer / Instructor position (full training provided)
*Delivering and assessing all aspects of gas and water mains and service laying
The person
*Live within commutable distance of Manchester
*Have experience in a mains laying or service laying background (minimum gas experience required)
*Competent in multi-lay gas and water with excavation experience
*Want to move off the tools and into a trainer / instructor role
