Dallas, TX or San Jose, CA (Hybrid - 3 days a week onsite)

In this role, you'll design and build core backend systems for Factory OS, integrating real-time machine data and ensuring secure, scalable architecture. You'll stay hands-on with coding, guide technical direction, and mentor engineers.

The Role:
- Architect Factory OS.
- Stay hands-on with code while upholding high standards for quality, testing, and CI/CD.
- Design for scale across factories with resilient infrastructure and GitOps-based Kubernetes environments.
- Evaluate and integrate third-party tools for machine connectivity, RFID, and MES functions
- Collaborate with and guide frontend teams to prototype operator UIs using HTMX, Wails, or React.

The Person:
- Led high-throughput, mission-critical distributed systems
- Skilled in operating and debugging production Kubernetes environments
- Proficient in Go or similar systems languages (Rust, C++, Java)
- Expert in event streaming (Kafka, Pulsar) and modeling complex real-world systems
- Familiar with FedRAMP, CMMC, or NIST 800-171 standards
- Ability to work in Dallas, TX - Hybrid 3 days a week onsite (Or based in San Jose, CA and can travel to Dallas 1 week per month with expenses covered)
