Senior Data Engineer - Geospatial Data
Europe - Permanent Employee, Full-Time, Remote
€60,000 - €110,000
Excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to be part of a mission that places environmental and community concerns as a priority in large-scale ecological projects across the globe.
This company works as an autonomous benchmark for environmental preservation, using advanced technology to verify projects across ecological and social impact pillars. Their work is setting the global standard for international carbon-credit transparency, with this standard ensuring the protection of biodiversity and high-integrity forest conversation. They also work closely with local and Indigenous communities, empowering them to have a voice in global restoration efforts.
In this role, you will design and implement the infrastructure that is powering their data workflows. With a focus on geospatial and image-based use cases, you will collaborate cross-functionally and report directly to the Director of Engineering. You'll have the opportunity to develop end-to-end pipelines and operationalise new data products with exciting growth into machine learning workflows.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for environmental conservation and is mission focused. You will have experience with Metaflow on AWS and FastAPI, as well as a strong understanding of MLOps and DevOps. Comfortability with geospatial libraries and large datasets is essential.

The Role:

The Person:
- Based in a CET time zone or similar
- Experience with Metaflow on AWS and FastAPI
- Knowledge of ML model management
- Experience with geospatial libraries and large datasets
- Fluent English proficiency
