Senior Mechanical Technician

£38,000-£42,000 + Pension+ Private Health Care (incl Private Dental) + Gym Membership
Excellent opportunity for someone with mechanical maintenance experience to join a growing business, playing a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of complex hydraulic and mechanical systems.
The company has already established itself as a key player in providing mechanical and hydraulic solutions across a variety of services; including, Rental Equipment, design and manufacturing, refurbishing and service and Marine cranes for international clients. Looking to build upon its reputation by expanding within the renewables market.
In this role, you'll take the lead within the workshop, ensuring the smooth operation of assembling and testing of new equipment, as well as mentoring junior technicians. This position involves refurbishing and maintaining hydraulic equipment, including fault-finding for a range of mechanical equipment.
The ideal candidate will be driven and self-motivated looking to advance to a more senior level in their career, and will have experience with mechanical fitting and maintenance covering things such as engines, motors and pumps.
This is the perfect role for someone from a mechanical background to move into a more senior role where they can work in an empowered environment with a good package and the opportunity to expand their knowledge of specialist equipment.
The role:
* Building, assembling and testing equipment
* Maintaining and refurbishing a range of hydraulic and mechanical equipment
* Mechanical fault finding and diagnosis
* Developing and mentoring Junior technicians
* Monday to Thursday 7:30-4:30, Friday 7:00-4:00
The Person:
* 5 years + experience in a mechanical position working with rotating equipment (pumps, motors, gearboxes etc)
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong computer literacy
* Passion for the field with a strong work ethic
