Staff Backend Engineer (DeFi/Blockchain)
$200,000 - $250,000 + Equity + Company Benefits (Dental, vision, medical, life insurance) + unlimited PTO + 401K

Founded 3 years ago, this pioneering company is looking to fill a gap in the market and become the most accessible and user-friendly portfolio manager in both web and mobile environments, providing a single dashboard to explore the Web3 ecosystem.
You will be critical to the developing the backend of the client's core product and new features, with the end goal making the blockchain easier for consumer to interpret. You will incorporate big data and machine learning into the development, and keep abreast of industry trends to ensure innovation, collaborating cross-functionally with all technical staff as well as product managers, as this role is integral to the direction of projects.

The Role:
* Work directly with the PM and collaborate cross-functionally with technical staff
* Take ownership of the design, development, and maintenance of the backend of core products and features
* Help the blockchain become more accessible to consumers, and optimize the platform for maximum speed and scalability.
* Document bugs
* Maintain consistent and effective communication with the product manager and with all team members to ensure seamless integration of backend with frontend services
* Occasional paid travel + company-wide getaways
The Person:
* A minimum of 10 years of experience within backend engineering
* At least 2 years of experience in a staff/principal level role
* Passionate about the blockchain
* Experienced using Typescript, but is a polyglot programmer capable of learning new tech quickly
* Has done both mobile and web development
* Looking for a fully remote role
