This well established, award winning company are continually expanding & now have an exciting position available for an experienced Transport Manager to lead the day to day operations of a busy Transport team.

In this role you will be responsible for managing people and processes in the transport function, to ensure efficient and optimum operation. You will be a people leader and will be passionate about the industry as well as upholding company values, being a brand ambassador and having the ability to drive the operation through the next stages of growth.

The role:

  • Managing day to day operations of a busy transport department
  • Monitoring and reviewing budgets
  • Ensuring all transport personnel are trained to the required standards
  • Ensuring transport regulations are adhered to
  • Ensuring safety systems are in place such as vehicle log books, MOT certificates and plate certificates, and ensure they are updated as necessary and comply with all legal requirements.

The person:

  • Previous experience as a Transport Manager ( CPC qualified) with the ability to lead & motivate teams
  • Looking for a varied and challenging, fast paced role
  • A brilliant communicator who can inspire the team and lead from the front through growth plans
  • Previous experience of driving change management and continuous improvement initiatives
