CAD Technician (Building Services)
Essex - commutable from Chelmsford, Ipswich, Colchester, Braintree, Clacton, etc.
£40,000 - £60,000 + 33 days Holiday, Pension, Training, Progression

A leading design and construction consultancy is looking for a CAD Technician to join their rapidly expanding building services team.
This is a varied and technically-focused role, supporting commercial projects across multiple sectors. You'll carry out site surveys, produce detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD and Revit, update existing documentation, and provide technical support to engineers and design teams. The role also involves liaising with internal teams and third parties to ensure designs meet project requirements.
Candidates will ideally come from a building services, MEP, or construction design background and be confident working both independently and as part of a wider design team. Strong proficiency in AutoCAD 2D is essential, and Revit experience would be a significant advantage.

The Role:
* Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings for building services projects using AutoCAD and Revit
* Update prior drawings and documentation to align with project requirements
* Conduct site surveys and collect accurate layout and measurement data
* Provide technical drawings, models, and data to support feasibility studies and design development
* Liaise with engineers, design teams, and third-party contractors to ensure project deliverables
The Person
* Background in Building Services, MEP design, or a similar construction/design environment
* High proficiency in AutoCAD 2D; Revit experience desirable
* Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical drawings and models
* Confident communicating with internal teams and external stakeholders
