This is a rare opportunity to join a well-established manufacturer building heavy-duty machinery used across the U.S. and internationally. With everything designed and built in-house, engineers are directly involved from concept right through to final delivery.
You'll work on custom machinery and automation systems, designing electrical controls, developing PLC programs, and collaborating directly with production as equipment is built and tested. Engineers here don't just sit behind a desk - you'll see your designs come to life on the shop floor and support systems once they're delivered to customers.
The company operates with a small, close-knit engineering team where people tend to stay long-term and take real ownership of their work. The role offers a balance of design, programming, and real-world problem solving across unique pieces of equipment.
The Role:
- Design electrical controls and develop PLC programs for custom industrial equipment
- Create and maintain electrical schematics and control cabinet layouts
- Work closely with production to support panel wiring, testing, and commissioning
- Support installation and troubleshooting at customer sites (approximately 10% travel)
The Person:
- Experience with PLC programming, ideally Allen Bradley
- Background in industrial automation, controls engineering, or machine design
- Able to design electrical circuits and develop controls for industrial machinery
