Data & Systems Analyst
Remote
£55,000 - £65,000 + Flexible working hours + Holiday

This is an excellent opportunity for a Data & Systems Analyst to join a company at an exciting time of growth, taking ownership of data analysis, reporting, and system improvement across their core operations, including production, logistics, and commercial functions.

In this varied role, you will be responsible for transforming static reporting into live, automated insights and driving operational efficiency. You will analyse data to identify opportunities, develop Power BI dashboards and data models, and build integrations using APIs, scripts (e.g., Python), or automation platforms (e.g., Power Automate) to streamline workflows. Key functions include improving data reliability across business systems, providing first-line support for the traceability system (React UI / .NET backend / SQL database), and preparing reporting summaries and KPI packs.

The ideal candidate will have strong Power BI capability (data modelling and DAX), advanced Excel skills, and the ability to write and adapt SQL queries. Experience is required with APIs, scripting, and workflow automation in Python, along with an understanding of how web-based systems operate (UI, backend).

The Role:

  • Automate reporting and insight generation using data analysis and Power BI development.
  • Build integrations and streamline workflows using APIs, scripting, and automation tools.
  • Improve data reliability and prepare KPI reports.
  • Provide firstline support for the traceability system.

The Person:

  • Strong Power BI (Data Modelling/DAX) and Advanced Excel.
  • Proficiency in SQL (writing and adapting queries).
  • Experience with APIs and Python scripting for automation.
  • Understanding of web systems (React UI / .NET backend / SQL DB)
  • Previously worked within a similar role e.g Data Analyst, Systems Analyst, Systems Developer.
