Electronics Product Compliance Engineer
Cambridge | Hybrid with at least 3-4 days per week on-site
£55,000 to £75,000 per year DOE + 37.5 hours per week + Holiday + Pension + Private Medical


Excellent opportunity for an Electronic Compliance Engineer looking to join a rapidly growing company in a highly important role working with fascinating technology and with good pathways for technical and career progression.

This role is central to the compliance and certification of intrinsically safe, battery powered IIoT devices used in hazardous environments. You will take ownership of global product compliance across ATEX, IECEx, UL, EMC, radio and FCC requirements, working closely with the engineering and operations teams.

The ideal candidate will have experience in hardware product compliance, hazardous area certification, and EMC or radio testing. You will be highly organised, thorough with documentation, and confident working across multiple functions and external test partners.

The Role:
* Product Compliance Engineer
* Lead hazardous area and intrinsic safety compliance for new and existing products
* Deliver ATEX, IECEx and UL certification activities from concept to approval
* Own EMC, RED, FCC and radio compliance including planning, testing and evidence capture
* Build and maintain complete technical files and detailed documentation
* Support manufacturing, supply chain, audits and engineering change processes
* Hybrid role based in Cambridge, typically three to four days onsite

The Person:
* Proven experience in product compliance or certification for electronic hardware
* Knowledge of ATEX, IECEx, UL, EMC, radio and FCC standards would be ideal
* Ability to read schematics and review PCB layouts
* Accurate documentation skills and strong attention to detail
* Proactive, organised and comfortable working cross functionally
* Based within a commutable distance of Cambridge and happy with hybrid working
