In this role, you will work with apprentices across Level 3, 4 and degree-level engineering programmes. You will assess competence in the workplace, support learners through their apprenticeship journey, and prepare them for successful End Point Assessment. You will also work closely with employers to ensure high-quality outcomes for both learners and industry partners.


This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer who wants to come off the tools and move into an assessor role, with full support available to gain assessor qualifications if required.


The Role:

  • Full training and assessor qualification support provided

  • Assessing apprentices against engineering apprenticeship standards

  • Supporting learners through gateway and End Point Assessment

  • Working across electrical and electronic engineering pathways

  • Managing your own diary with a high level of autonomy

  • Liaising with employers, internal teams, and quality staff

  • Excellent benefits and long-term career progression


The Person:

  • Industry experience in electrical / electronic engineering (or dual-skilled mech/elec)

  • Minimum Level 4 qualification in a relevant engineering discipline

  • GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent)

  • Willingness to complete A1 / CAVA assessor qualification (if not already held)

  • Strong communication and organisational skills

  • Keen to support and develop apprentices
