Are you a Mechanical Engineer looking to step into an exciting role with a growing engineering consultancy, offering technically challenging work across mining and industrial projects, close collaboration within a small, high-performing team, and clear long-term progression opportunities?

On offer is a technically stimulating position where you will support mechanical and piping engineering scopes across studies, EPCM, and EPC projects, while playing a key role in a busy and growing project portfolio.

This well-established engineering consultancy has been operating for around two decades and delivers tailored engineering solutions across the mining and minerals processing sector. With approximately 40 employees' company-wide and a close-knit mechanical team of six, they are now looking to add an Intermediate to Senior Mechanical Engineer to support ongoing project demand.

In this role, you will work closely with process, electrical, instrumentation, and project management teams. You will contribute to scopes of work and specifications, review mechanical and piping designs, liaise with clients and vendors, and support projects through to construction and commissioning. This is a collaborative environment offering autonomy, technical ownership, and genuine visibility within the business.

This role will suit a Mechanical Engineer with experience in mining, minerals processing, or industrial plant environments, ideally within a consultancy or project-based setting. You should be comfortable across mechanical and piping engineering and ideally hold a P.Eng or be working toward your designation.

The Role:

  • Mechanical and piping engineering support across mining and industrial projects
  • Preparing scopes, specifications, and reviewing mechanical designs
  • Liaising with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and vendors
  • Occasional site visits and commissioning support
  • Strong progression to Senior Mechanical Engineer / Project Engineer
  • $45-$65 per hour + Bonus + Profit Share + Hybrid Working

The Person:

  • Mechanical Engineer with experience in mining, minerals processing, or industrial plants
  • Mechanical and piping engineering background, ideally in a consultancy environment
  • Exposure to mechanical calculations (pumps, tanks, pipework)
  • Comfortable working autonomously within a small, collaborative team
  • P.Eng or working towards preferred
