Cookstown or Belfast (Office & Site Based)

£50,000 - £65,000 + Private Health Care + 30 Days Holiday + Pension + Fuel Card + Genuine Progression Opportunities + Supportive Training

This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join a long-established main contractor delivering high-quality building and civil engineering projects across Northern Ireland.

This company has been operating successfully for over 40 years and has built a trusted reputation within the construction industry, delivering a wide range of projects across healthcare, education, and other government sectors. With a strong order book and healthy pipeline of public sector work, they offer long-term security, structured career development, and a friendly, down-to-earth working environment.

In this role, you will take ownership of a variety of projects, managing all commercial aspects from procurement and subcontractor management through to valuations and final accounts. You'll liaise with stakeholders, prepare supply chain packs, and ensure projects are delivered profitably and to the highest standards.

The ideal candidate will have at experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a main contractor, and strong knowledge of supply chain management, subcontractor negotiations, and site measurement. A full driving licence will be required for site visits.

The Role:

  • Managing commercial aspects of building and civil engineering projects
  • Preparing and issuing supply chain packs
  • Subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and management
  • Preparing and agreeing valuations and final accounts
  • Measuring works on site and recording variations
  • Liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Office based with regular site visits across Northern Ireland



The Person:

  • Experience as a Quantity Surveyor
  • Main contractor background
  • Strong knowledge of subcontractor management and valuations
  • Qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel locally
