Solar Business Development Manager
$120,000 - $170,000 + Commissions + Vehicle Allowance + 401k + Great Benefits + PTO
Texas, USA - 50% travel
Are you a solar sales professional with strong industry relationships in Texas looking for a role where your earning potential is directly tied to the business you win?
On offer is a high-impact, revenue-generating position with a growing solar contractor where top performers can build a substantial book of business and unlock significant commission upside.
This company is an established Texas-based solar contractor that is continuing to grow steadily across commercial and utility-scale markets. With strong operational delivery in place, they are now focused on expanding revenue through strategic business development across solar and BESS projects.
In this role, you'll take ownership of new business generation across Texas, leveraging your existing relationships within developers, asset owners, EPCs, and industry stakeholders. You'll spend time meeting clients on-site, attending industry events, and actively identifying and closing new revenue streams. The commission structure rewards hunters who can win and expand accounts.
This position would suit a driven renewable energy sales professional who already has connections in the Texas solar market and wants the autonomy, flexibility, and financial upside to significantly increase their annual earnings.
The Role:
- Proactively hunt and win new solar and BESS business across Texas
- Meet clients on-site, attend conferences, and develop new deal pipelines
- Travel up to 50%
The Candidate:
- Strong existing relationships within solar, EPC, or BESS sectors in Texas
- Knowledge of solar and energy storage projects
- Self-starter with a true hunter mentality that is willing to travel
