This progressive and well-respected college is expanding its Higher Education engineering provision through its University Centre, delivering programmes at Level 4 to Level 7. With a strong pipeline of learners progressing from apprenticeships and employer-led routes, the department is seeking an industry professional to join the HE team as an Embedded Systems Engineering Lecturer.
In this role, you will teach and support learners across a range of Higher Education engineering modules, with a particular focus on embedded systems and applied electronics. You will contribute to the delivery of practical and theory-based sessions, supporting learners through assessments, projects, and real-world technical development. You will also be involved in academic administration, planning, and student support as part of the wider HE delivery model.
The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Engineering and have strong industry experience. You will need proven experience with C++, Python and PLC programming. Teaching experience is desirable but not essential, and any additional experience with other relevant software packages is welcomed.

The Role:
*Teach embedded systems engineering within HE programmes (Level 4 to Level 7)
*Support learners with projects, assignments and progression
*37 Hours per week, typically 2 to 3 days teaching with remaining time for planning/admin
*Hybrid working options available
The Person:
*Degree qualified in Engineering (higher qualification advantageous)
*Strong embedded systems / electronics engineering experience
*Comfortable with some of the following: C++, Python, PLC programming, Electronics and electrical engineering principles, PCB design / embedded hardware
*Keen to transition into lecturing and support students to succeed
