WBL Manager - Construction & Motor Vehicle
Cambridge
Circa £45 to £55 per hour | 37 hours per week

This college provides a modern, supportive environment for staff and learners alike. They are now seeking a WBL Manager to lead and grow their Construction & Motor Vehicle apprenticeship provision. The role offers the opportunity to oversee delivery, manage a team of assessors, and drive the quality and growth of the programmes.

This opportunity would suit someone with experience in Work Based Learning or apprenticeships who is ready to take on a leadership role, manage a team, and contribute to operational and strategic success. Teaching or assessing qualifications are beneficial but not essential, with full support and training provided where required.

The Role:
* Lead a team of Work Based Learning Assessors and Quality Leads
* Oversee day-to-day delivery of Construction & Motor Vehicle apprenticeships
* Manage budgets, caseloads, and forecasting for sustainable programme growth
* Ensure high quality delivery and compliance with awarding organisation and funding requirements
* Drive employer engagement, business development, and apprenticeship recruitment
* Monitor performance, success rates, and reporting, including SAR contributions
* Support Curriculum development, staff training, and operational planning

The Person:
* Level 3 qualification (Construction, Motor Vehicle, or a relevant vocational area)
* A1 Assessor qualification / TAQA
* V1 Internal Verification qualification
* Strong experience in Work Based Learning, apprenticeships, or vocational education
* Proven leadership and team management skills
* Knowledge of Apprenticeship Standards, quality assurance, and funding rules
* Able to work flexibly, including occasional evenings or partner sites
